As well, they combine their course with clinics at Berlin's Kunstfabrik Schlot, thus enabling people from everywhere to learn the jazz language. The course program offers an easy-tograsp approach to music theory, harmony, and rhythm for the musician who has little or no experience in the jazz idiom or has, so far, only relied on his ears and intuition. Young students planning to audition for jazz programs at colleges in order to launch a professional carreer are provided with all the knowledge necessary to pass the theoretical, rhythmical, and ear training assignments made at entrance examinations. As well the academy offers an advanced level with valuable information with previous skills and experience outside jazz, e.g. classical performers and educators. The IASJ fully endorses the activities of the global-jazz-academy and encourage any support that can be offered for their activities.
